No Case Studies Yet
We would rather say that than dress up a number nobody can check. Here is the standard the first published study will have to meet.
What a study will contain
- 01The property, named, with its size and market.
- 02The starting position: rate, occupancy and RevPAR before we touched anything.
- 03What changed, and which of it was the software rather than the market.
- 04The measurement window, and the comparison period it is measured against.
- 05The parts that did not work.
Until then, the honest substitutes are the arithmetic and the research. The blog shows the method with its sources named, and vs manual pricing concedes where doing it by hand still wins.
On the industry's numbers: every circulating “RMS lifts RevPAR by X%” figure we chased traces back to vendor marketing. The one peer-reviewed study we found, Ortega 2016 in the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, reported no significant RevPAR effect. We are not going to repeat a claim we cannot stand behind.
